Dr. Pizza Girl, nice to meet you.

If you have a Tumblr account and you follow the Cure tag, you probably already know me. I got recently kicked out because of pointless Copyrights infringement notices, but I'm getting over it (more or less). 

 Or, if you are on thecurecommunity.com or on Twitter, you might already know me as Dr. Pizza Girl. (NO PINEAPPLES ARE ALLOWED ON THIS BLOG !!!!!)

 Anyway, if you've never met me across the internet, I'm Francesca, nice to meet you. I'm 26, I'm an unhappy Medical Biotechnologies PhD student in Milan, but most importantly, I'm a hopeless Curefan. My hobbies include whining, sleeping, eating, wasting money, reading, whining, fangirling, Cure records collecting, whining... I have a full moon face and a lot of issues with people. Ahem, to be honest, I don't know why you should read my blog, but after my 7-years-old Tumblr got cancelled I had to find something else to fill the void... deal with it. 

 I might update this thing from time to time, I don't know yet. You'll find posts both in italian and english, depending on what I'm talking about. English music, italian music, Gregorian chants, heavy metal, who knows? If it helps me to survive, it's more than welcome.

Shopping Time on The Cure shop...

It weirds me up a little bit to see all this new merch on The Cure's shop, especially around Christmas. Autumn at Picturesofyou.us had my same feeling, it all seems a massive Christmas commercial operation to make money. You're so right Autumn... "less quantity, more quality!" Nonetheless, my little inner collector couldn't help but squeal over all the badges, stickers and patches sets. The institution of a European shop made everything too easy, because when we had only the US one at least I could say "oooh well, shipping costs are too high, I don't want to fight with customs and co...". Music will save us all

20th March 2019. 26th day of reclusion: thoughts have become my most evil enemy. I hated my routine because I hate my job, but now that I don't have it anymore I'm really starting to lose my mind. It requires a good load of self-discipline to work from home, but most than anything else, the most important thing this quarantine is teaching me is that you MUST learn to shut overthinking off. If overthinking strikes and you have plenty of time to listen to it, trust me, things will get nasty really fast. In the last few days, two monoliths have grown in my head: "I can't do anything good", and "I'm alone and no one likes me". They've always been in my head since middle school, but now that nothing is holding them back anymore they're the only thing I see and hear when I open my eyes in the morning. A fake birthday, for a true new beginning...

I want to consider this the day in which I decide to tie up my laziest self, and to start again. I've even registered a video, I've bought I tripod for my phone, but I don't want to expose my potato face like that for now. The first posts will actually be a little "vintage", because I have to bring back what has been lost forever on Tumblr... luckily enough I've saved the most articulate stuff on my hard disk ;) See you this weekend!
